Currently giving it its first listen, though I've seen live versions of some of these songs. A Noise Severe is incredible. Breathtaking.

You're absolutely right, that track is soooo gorgeous. Album is a real treat, contains some of my fave TG moments.
A secret, unsung hero; luckily we have a small but dedicated following for it right here on Sput.

Ok... I think this album deserves a 5. The melodies are marvellous. The arrangements are subtle and sweet, there is never an instrument stealing all the space, itโs so rich although most parts are quite simple isolated from the rest of the music. And itโs a joy to hear them play together. It always seems like these musicians enjoy nothing more than making their bandmates shine.

Chousi YESSSSSS! Very hard agree, this is a wonderful sweetie of a record full of ideas and obviously taken great care of when it was made.

yeah i always figured they were like some moody goth death metal band that went "prog"

I mean, that's half-right if we're talking about the first two + Mandylion, although they leant towards the doomier side of metal (then, they blossomed into an even more beautiful flower!)
