saw jeff last night in minneapolis with my girlfriend and my friends hannah and jack. setlist iirc was get old 4ever, hey allison, you in weird cities, beers again alone, the trash x3, snow charges, 80s through the 50s, darkness records. bummed af he didn't i'm serious i'm sorry or polar bear or twinkle but
other bands:
chumped - singer was adorable, john dedominici filled in for their bassist (and he wore a t-swift shirt okay). guitarist was cool af. he had longer hair than the singer. prob going to listen to chumped more.
smith street - cool set. i didn't really know any of their songs and i was exhausted from jeff's set but. wil wagner looks nothing like i thought he would. there was a dude in a cookie monster suit in the pit.
andrew jackson jihad - skipped their set because we had a four hour drive home and i've only heard people long ass title and i didn't like it, and also there were too many white people with dreads.
after jeff's set, we met kevin higuchi (jeff's drummer), told him "nice fuckin' set, nice fuckin' dreads" (his dreads were like nine feet long lmao. he's allowed to have dreads since he's not white) and then "i'm sure you get this a lot but do you know when we can meet jeff, we kinda drove a long ass way to see him" and he informed us jeff was showering and would be down soon. then we shook hands, thanked him etc.
john dedominici was working merch table, i picked up a we cool? shirt, the LP, and the hey allison 7", and my gf got we cool on cassette because her van still plays cassettes lmao. when jeff finally came down we talked, told him he has to play in des moines, iowa (where i am from) because last year i drove six hours to madison WI to see him, and this year i drove four to minne MN, and he was like "ASOB played dsm in '03" and i was like "yeah dsm is actually cool now, (listed some venues), fuck, play my parents' basement or something, just play in dsm next tour please please please." chatted a bit more, and got a picture with jeff and my gf. but the lady who took it was so bad. omfg.

9/10 play in my city and play my favorite songs next time because everything is all about me
