Because Josh Middleton is an excellent guitarist and as someone who plays the instrument, I can appreciate the solos/riffs he writes. Sure, it's not groundbreaking, but it sure is catchy.

Yea, he's a damn good guitarist. I don't know how a fan of metal couldn't have some sort of appreciation for this band. Dude riffs.

Monolith felt so good to me when it came out, but man I have no desire to listen to it after DH came out and those 3-4 songs hit me. Something about Monolith's production doesn't sit well with me, either.

i beg to differ i much prefer monolith (and EotE) , way more consistent, more realized atmosphere and generally better songwritting imo.
