i don't follow what you mean by cheesy, but I do know what you mean by repetitive. the way i see it, it's kinda hard to be goa and then not stray into some other style. it's a pretty definitive and narrow style. only a handful of groups really stand out, AP being one of those.
i would say Electric Universe, Space Buddha and Deeper in Zen are staples of goa
