Checked this out today. For a long time only knowing the excellent The Dreadful Hours.
Amazing atmosphere, very good songwriting. Came out the same year as Draconian Times but it has MUCH better structured songs, much less predictable and more interesting. I think MDB and P. Lost can't even be mentioned in the same breath, both albums are so different from each other.
Why DT has a higher average is beyond me. Too poppy song structures. Even the many 3 minute songs usually follow the same tired 3 chorus routine. If only more songs on DT were like Forever Failure...
4.3 for what? Please explain.

bruh they have very different styles but they are both integral and amazing bands. you might prefer one over the other but that doesn't mean paradise lost can't be enjoyed or is not important wtf wow you really missed the mark there wow how embarrassing

Only have one complaint about it atm and its something grew out of as time went on. Some of these songs so far just plod along and dont need to be the length they are, could easily trim some of the songs down a smidge.

Like its all still great material but some of it could have been trimmed a little bit. Light at the end of the world also kinda had some moments that could be slimmed just slightly.

They really defined their style on their later stuff imo. Their early stuff is still great but they got better with age.
