lagavulin is a quality dram, i wish i could afford the glenfidditch 21 but alas i'm a student

i think ardbeg uigeadail is the best whisky i've ever had though, kicks like a mule but so worth it

Glenfiddich 21 is a one-off, my sister bought me a numbered bottle for my 21st last year. I only had a couple of halves on my birthday and some with my old man around Christmas or New Year. Nearly 22 years now.

On the subject of Special Brew, I happen to have an alcoholic, bat-shit old couple as an aunt and uncle - the former in particular is a huge fan of the ol' SB, as early as 11am really. That's the life.

going for breakfast at the local wetherspoons and seeing random pensioners necking pints of stout at 9am is both awesome and kinda sad

Weatherspoons, class.

The Barking Dog in Barking (would you believe) is incredible.

It's the only one where they play music, Vivaldi is a fave there, people come from The other end of Dagenham to pitch up

deck chairs, sit outside amongst the roll ups and listen to the cultural sounds emanating from within.

I have a buddy, who was 21 at the time, that got ID'd in a wetherspoons in Edinburgh for ordering an english breakfast with a glass of orange juice

How does it work then? You sit in cinema seats? I can't imagine that be great for facilitating group discussion

Quite the opposite - it's a chain of pubs around the UK. Often cheapest grub and booze in town.
