That' not my point. =P
It's just the production. The sound of the drums are too clean.

"I don't understand how production matters that much to you kids. I mean seriously, do you not listen to what they're actually doing as opposed to all the technical post recording shenanigans? I just find it amazing that people can disregard an album based on the production alone, reminds me of this doofus wo told me he liked Whitechapel solely because of how well produced it was. Ugh"

Production can make or break an album though. Theres alot of great producers that can enhance an album with their production, and then some that have shitty jobs can almost kill it. Im not saying everything has to have glossy pitch perfect production, since like you said it works for BM most of the time, but its def a part of the package.

^ Totally agree

To some people, like me; production and mixing matter. I like that the sounds and what the performers
are doing is represented well in the production and mixed effectively to give you an appropriate sound
be it embossed or panning or whatever it is.

Production is simply important to people. You don't have to be a 'kid' to appreciate it, it's just a
preference like anything else in music.

I never really liked instrumental music until I heard these guys. Tosin Abasi is a really skilled musician. 8 strings? Nice!
