If anything, time worsens the music.

I've heard so many mixed opinions on this album so far. I'm actually not really expecting anything too great but we will see on Tuesday.

not really, you have Liberation and Nephilim holding up the middle (although they're all good tracks), the last two tracks are quite beastly and then you have the bonus track (Ashen) which also slays.

This whole album is good. I really can't see what issue some people have with this (except for the ones still hoping for Brave Murder Day Pt. 2).

It's probably because the middle part of the album is slower than what most people expected and hence they're getting turned off by that, leading to them not letting the whole thing sink in.

Sadly my sentiments on this one as of yet. I'm tryin' hard, but I'm guessing my assumption that this would be kickass might have gotten me into a bit of trouble. My buddy (equally devoted fan) is already throwing this one in the hat for one of the year's best...and he's no music-moron and has pretty extensive tastes. Seems like this album is polarizing the fanbase a little bit, though I can't figure out what it is about it that is keeping me from truly enjoying the record.

Never really thought much of Katatonia for the majority of their career but NITND really knocked my socks off! It's nice when a band takes you by surprise like that, wish it happened more often actually...

Well this album was ok, the first three tracks were great but it sort of loses focus from then on.

Wizard you'll like it, there really isn't any reason not to tbh. It's nothing fantastic but it's certainly good and worth listening to.
