past life persona has been a huge grower for me. wasn't really sure about it at first but it's so pretty. its becoming one of my favorites now

honestly wish/glimpse through wave would be an all timer run of erra songs if not for pale iris

Well just regurgitate the same points for points sake.

Also don’t under estimate Bubs ability to stroke his Erra love 🥰

I want to like Past Life Persona but I just don’t lol. That verse riff/progression is meh. Jesse should’ve swapped it with a djentified version of one of the best songs from Dust in the Shape.

Wave has been the big grower for me - one of my favs here. I think the chorus actually gets closer to the heights Erra is capable of

feel like all the songs on cure go off individually but as a full album experience it's all a little too same-y for me. kinda conflicted about it overall but def some bangers

i hear a lot of variety on it myself. if anything the swings between tracks are almost too wide sometimes that the flow gets a little wonky (blue reverie / slow sour esp), but i really respect them going for it

As underwhelming as my first listen was, I will say the new album has grown on me a lot. Feels like a different band but it grooves pretty hard.

i had someone in my ear try and tell me it (eidolon) was the least creative erra song ever and it is one of the most eyebrow raise erra takes i've seen

i love this too much i can't pick a worst here. it's probably divisionary for me but i still really love that song lmao

Eidolon is great, wtf. Memory Fiction is probably my least favorite on this record. It's not necessarily bad but not what I look for from this band and it reminds me of the more saccharine emo-core bands of the late 2000s.

i think people cannot deal with the no jesse but its not like scorpion hymn is better than it lol

i am a big memfic enjoyer. i think its cool they wrote it as far back as drift but only felt confident in stretching the boundaries of what an erra album far enough on this one to include it. it's not a highlight here but i think it gives this album a nice "penultimate climax/closer end credits" structure that works in this album's favor because remnant ties everything up nicely enough where it almost feels like it could be a closer
