Seeing Masvidal on the Lack video windmilling surprised me.
He was such a gentle soul in Cynic.

The loss of his hair must've brought him back down to earth.
Seriously tho he goes hard in that vid, I couldn't headbang that hard playing riffs like that.

The thought of learning a Cynic song makes me feel unworthy tbh man.
Most Death songs aren't too hard tho, excluding TSOP where Chuck just goes off on one haha.

I've always felt this is one of the most overrated Death albums tbh. I mean, it rules hard yeah, but they got at least 4 albums that crush it tbh

Lack of comprehension and suicide machine get me every single time. I wouldn't say it would get crushed but there are definitely things the other albums did better.

True, maybe crushed is a strong word, I just feel their songwriting here was a little too ambitious for its own good a lot of the time. Some of the proggy ideas feel kinda haphazardly executed - at least compared to ITP and Symbolic where they tightened everything up by a considerable margin.
