My science teacher loves these guys, he's actually been working on a full length video for Dead Flag Blues for years now.

''America is a third world country, and people don't recognise it... and I think that that's pretty god damn sad, that they don't recognise their own country as a third world, third rate, third class slum. ''

I like this album. But, it's really hard to listen to it frequently because it's depressing. It makes me feel bad after listening. I appreciate the sound, but yeah.

really? I find F# and even Yanqui way more depressing, this is almost upbeat by comparison

Something about the xylophone ( I think) In Moya is just heartbreaking to me. The climax in ''BBF3'' after the guy finishes the rip-off poem and says ''watching beginnings of social decay'' that fucking part, man. I've never heard anything like it. It's really all encompassing.

But yeah, it bums me out listening to this.

Yanqui is more dour in a way. Seems like the band weren't too happy after the whole Iraq thing (I'm guessing here)

I actually find F# the least depressing because they play around a lot on that album with weird sounds and just random shit.

fair enough, Dead Flag Blues alone depresses me more than anything on this though

i respectfully disagree! this record's universe is so vivid that it takes me away from the annoying little thoughts that keep me awake ")

Yeah I totally understand that. The music is absolutely beautiful and more appropiate for that cause than, say, F#. I can imagine myself listening to Moya to fall asleep

i could imagine myself doing that too, if i could imagine listening to Moya without BBF3 to accompany it
