Victim is my favourite but the next best are its two immediate neighbours

Fair play to him for playing the pocket live over the course of nearly the entire show. Not an easy thing to do being that consistent but on their records, I've always thought the drums were very boring.

I always take the "it's hard to find a friend these days" line in Harmonia's Dream as a Tom Petty reference, good stuff

Man, I've been really sleeping on Old Skin. It starts a tad meandering, but once that second half hits it's just so good. Helps that I'm a sucker for harmonica when it works.

Occasional Rain is also an excellent closer. That guitar bit in the middle hits the spot.

'Old skin' and 'Rings around my father's eyes are on heavy rotation for me

I really like this album. I miss the weird freakouts and reverb stuff from Lost in the dream, but I feel like as a consicse, single-ish album this works really well. I think it's much, much better than a deeper understanding too. That album did nothing at all for me.

after 1 full pass, nothing comes remotely close to the heights of a deeper understanding - particularly thinking of a place. still this seems very solid on the whole though, gotta further digest it. living proof, victim, title track, and old skin are the immediate highlights for me. kind of hate how bunched up all the best stuff is lol

I can confirm that this album is a real grower, at least, that's how I experienced it. Started out okay, few good tracks but eh, but now I'm really enjoying it tremendously.

i actually listened to the singles and had prepared myself for the drop, this is an excellent album no doubt, but yeah it was gonna be hard following a classic like DU
