Eh, it’s great but not near that level for me - I haven’t rated yet but it’s prob a low to mid 4.

Hmm, every song is strong (near enough)
I definitely rate it higher than their others so far - I appreciate the toned down Dylan’isms. It’s less bar band’y too.
Dunno, bit surprised but fair enough. I’d say this is slightly lacking in drop dead classic tunes…but then I don’t hear too many of those in their back catalogue either.

‘Tonight at the Arizona’ intrigued me, need to revisit that one a load

I re-listened to their S/T the other day and thought it was great, especially Don't Wake the Scarecrow. It's still hard to drag myself away from this one, but I think that'll be the next one of theirs that I focus on. I know I heard roughly half of their albums at least one time each, but it still feels like I'm hearing them for the first time.

Completely contradicting myself, just listened to'Tonight at the Arizona' again and it is very Dylan'y and barroom band'y...but it has this looseness and I wish I'd started there just because they sound so much like a unified and youthful band on it. The songs are mostly great too.
I'd say either that or the self titled will end up my second favourite. Agreed this feels like a 'new band' to me now too, Boney despairing I never game them an honest shot before no doubt ;P
Better late than never

Just got my physical copy of this in the mail. Not sure if there will be much to anticipate in terms of the packaging (I haven't opened it yet), but I'm excited to give it another spin regardless.

Definitely an AOTY contender, there's at least three songs here that are contenders for the best song to come out this year.
I'm listening to Inferno right now, I get chills listening to it every time
