No, I 1'd them because I remember hearing those two albums a long time ago and hating the shit out of them
I haven't actually heard anything they did after s/t and probably for the better

i would also love instrumental versions of everything they've done!
the singer/guitarist has pedal demos on the icarus instagram (or his personal or both idr) which moreso showcase his playing as opposed to the pedal itself but they're fucking amazing and are the closest we have to instrumental icarus atm

I will have to check those out
I remember them doing a bunch of drum playthrus a while back and I was just entranced watching that dude play. It was pretty damn impressive

hating the shit out of seems excessive lmao but that's fine as long as it wasn't too intentionally hurt my feeeeeelings. can confirm that if you don't like those, not much point in checking what's beyond. they each have a bit more of the "core" that is swancore but that's the only higher level difference

pikazilla hurts my feelings every day
and that is my main motivation for listening to swancore

"drummer's chops are insane, easily one of my faves"
i feel like the drummer on here is overlooked way too much, shits not easy at all. dig that style its quirky, hectic, busy and dramatic but at the same time controlled and dynamic. theres so much to point out.
also it seems so crazy to me that they somehow make blastbeats work in the context of their music, fits brilliantly at times. i know donovan did it alrdy on wake and it never ceases to amaze me. its one of the reasons why i fell in love with this band
e.g. the way he phrases the beginning of the 2nd verse in slander differently by placing some hi hat accents just adds so much to the depth and progression of the songs.

Yeah this is stuck in my head hard.
Got my Moderna shot the other night. Remember how bad high-fever sleeps are? The rolling around in confusion shivering? My head decided the soundtrack to that would be all the hooks from this album, played fever-dream fashion ad nauseum in my head as writhed in agony and confusion between the hours of 12-4am.
I ain't mad
