Honestly I've tried to get into this band several times and its not bad but it sounds to me kinda like Yautja light.

Wouldn't say *definitely* but I can agree the second half has more curveballs. Can't go sleeping on the front though, stacked with singles.

The back half is giving me vibes to some of the weirder moments from "Remission" but I don't know if there is anything that just stands out to me yet about the album.  Which is a bummer because your review hyped me up to enjoy it quite a bit.

I think a few more go arounds can help expose the subtleties that this disc possesses. It's very cleverly made, not just heavy because heavy is cool. But if it ends up being not your thing then that's all well and good too : )

‘dull and flat’ - they sound absolutely monstrous to me, maybe you need to crank it up a little higher, or use better headphones?
I can definitely see someone not being a fan of their riffs or song-writing style, are you sure it’s the production that’s the issue? Idk I’m just confused.
