also personally have never found Ricky Gervais funny BUT that is exclusively from seeing him on TV and movies or whatever, don't think I've ever watched his stand-up.

I don't know I personally found him hilarious when I got into him in 2015/2016 but recently the things I've heard from him have been pretty dull. I struggle to think of decent comedians nowadays anyhow, Ricky Gervais is ok here and there I guess.

The 80's and 90's truly were the golden age of stand-up comedy

I recently watched the actual video of Michael Richards having his public meltdown for the first time, nothin' like a comic who can take a heckle amirite

What I find pathetic is when a comedian bows down and apologizes re: Kevin hart apologizing for his decade-old "offensive" tweets. As Gervais said there's nothing more offensive than a comedian apologizing for his own jokes.

Then again Hart has never been even remotely funny.

He's hit and miss. I've watched one decent special from him and his Golden Globes hosts so far have been funny, but overall nothing to write home about.
