Right Now is nuts, maybe her best song

I am very excited to hear the new one

the build of Right Now is incredible. Honestly, the run this album has from the middle to the end is sublime and rivals any she's ever had

Definitely agree

I thought All Mirrors was stunning but almost...too lush? It caused it to slightly wear off over time.
I haven't listened to any other Angel Olsen, but if the new one maintains the breathtaking melodies with maybe a little more grit or something then I'll be in heaven.

I wouldn't say grittier but it has a much more atmospheric feel to it than this, still some huge moments for sure but more intimate (and way more country)

way more country sounds like it'll do

I would be shocked if you didn't 5 this Sowing lol
I had an odd relationship with All Mirrors. The songwriting was immaculate, but the glamor of it all kept me at arm's length for a bit. Then I found myself obsessed with it. Then the glam once again pushed me away. But I've resigned myself to love it and it's a classic in my own personal canon. There's something about those that I feel really unlocked Angel's potential, and I can understand why she released one and a half alternative albums based off of All Mirrors. With "Like I Used To" and now the Big Time album under her belt, I can easily say she is one of the best out there right now.

man the chorus of Dream Thing is one of my favorite vocal melodies of hers ever which is saying something
|
| |
Through the Fires and Chasing the Sun is an amazing way to close out the album. I find myself returning to that duo a lot
|
| |
Through The Fires is absolutely spellbinding

Sounds like you like it big time. I like it slightly less i guess, but at times it is achingly beautiful.

Thought Big Time was great on first listen. Probably a tiny bit weaker than the last couple albums but the luscious country sound is right up my alley.
