Panorama Anxiety is awesome in that it’s one of the more abrasive hardcore-ish tracks along with Footsteps and FS2 which is part of what I missed on the last album besides Stay Happy There. I thought RotH went a little too far in an alt rock direction but I’m a lot more into the post-hardcore/post-rock fusion on this album. If anyone cares I just did a La Dispute ranked list with mini reviews of all of their albums. I was curious to hear other people’s opinion on their discography overall.

Wait what’s wrong with Andrias ‘s opening riff? That whole song is a classic but the opening riff is basically just a GYBE-ish intro thing, I’m not sure how anyone could really have strong opinions one way or another. If I had to pick a corny opening riff I could at least understand Bury Your Flame.

There You Are is the best song but that moth metaphor on Anxiety Panorama is the most powerful moment on the album.

The lyrics on this album are really vague and I’m not sure exactly what a lot the the songs are actually about. Obviously relationship stuff in a genreral sense but he keeps talking about his girlfriend or wife or whoever having trauma that he wants to help her through but also he’s apologetic about something. Rhodonite is the only song that seems to really deviate at all from that.

I really dig that actually and touched on that in my review, it's a nice change of pace for Jordan imo, definitely his most personal album

Ye chan, still don't dig Wildlife haha.

I don't know that I'm in the headspace to appreciate something with this sort of emotional tone right now. But objectively, this seems cool and easily their most atmospheric album. I miss some of the concrete story-telling but then I haven't done much unpacking of these lyrics yet.

This is objectively their best album, while "Somewhere at the Bottom..." is their best one from a nostalgic perspective.
