The previous two weren't too far off in that regard, either. In fact, metal albums should aspire to have this style of engineering and subsequently volume rather than the loud sound achieved through a lot of compression that most modern music has.

It’s always funny how the underground bands typically have better production than the big metal bands.
Like Metallica hasn’t had a well produced album in 20 years but shit made on a shoestring budget comparatively sound a lot better.
