There's like 3 great tracks, rest is pretty bland unfortunately

Title track is a banger and Never Fade has a great hook and melody too despite a slightly clunky arrangement.

Drone is such a killer track. I wish they’d play more of their recent stuff live. Obv I think their older material is better but I don’t need to see them play Man in the Box and Down in a Hole for the fifth time.

Probably because people find it hard to admit these guys made an average album

@Wildcard: yeah, Drone's easily my favorite here. Also, I didn't even realize until recently that Chris DeGarmo of Queensryche is on that song!

Hell yeah dude, that’s originally what spiked my interest in the song. I love Queensryche

Speaking of Queensryche, have you watched the interview Geoff Tate did recently for 80s Metal Recycle Bin on Youtube? Easily the most down-to-earth and chill interview he's done in ages, and it seems like he's in a good place these days

No but I’ll have to. Last thing I saw about that guy is him holding the band at knife point. I really stopped paying attention to him after that.
I’d love nothing more than for the band to get back together with Tate and DeGarmo but I don’t think that’s happening in this lifetime.

There's the link for when you want to check it out. And yeah, I don't think the whole band is getting back together any time soon... however, in the interview, Geoff actually illuminates many interesting things about just how important Chris was to the band before his departure. Not only creatively, but financially as well

"Probably because people find it hard to admit these guys made an average album " - Exactly. It's got some bangers but overall is boring and formulaic

nah it’s good.
The bands been kinda formulaic since their comeback. If you think this is average then so are the previous two.
I like their core sound enough that it doesn’t bother me.

"The bands been kinda formulaic since their comeback. If you think this is average then so are the previous two."
Devil isn't formulaic in the slightest, stuff like Phantom Limb feels like them branching out a lot

Every song on here i've heard on their past two albums
Red Giant and Drone may be an exception
