Another defining characteristic [of doom metal] is the consistent focus on slow tempos,[6] and minor tonality with much use of dissonance (especially in the form of the tritone), employing the usage of repetitive rhythms with little regard to harmonic progression and musical structure.[7]
Wikipedia is indisputable, that repetition is essential to doom vibes

The Screen absolutely rules. I hold this album very close to my heart (no pun intended). I was going through a very stressful period of my life and I remember pickin this up and hiking to the top of a mountain. Listened to this on the summit and it was a very spiritual-like experience. I remember I had heard horrible things about The Screen but that track felt absolutely connected to what I was going through. I absolutely love it's slow monolithic rhythm because it's very akin to the message it coveys. This band rules very very hard, one of my dearies.
PS: Beauty in Falling Leaves was my SOTY in 2018 btw. Mesmerizing and beautiful like no other

this album on a hike up a mountain sounds like a fantastic experience (I love hiking + atmospheric metal). haven't heard this in a really long time, but checked one of my playlists and my highlights are: The Screen, Beauty in Falling Leaves & tt
