i listen to it on shitty speakers so am not bothered by it as much. even with the production i pick up new little subtleties with each listen

I think that summoning should drop palm muted riffs altogether. That was one of the great things about oath bound. Their palm muted riffs really take away from the droney atmosphere. Also why does oath bound sound like the only album that they actually spent decent money on the production. The sound quality of the drum programming, the synths, vocals, etc blow away all of their other albums.

it's funny because we used to complain about the production on Oath Bound. I think OMD and LMHSYF have the best production

"i listen to it on shitty speakers" This actually might do the trick.
|
| |
dol guldur has the best production style for summoning :/
|
| |
for Summoning I'd say Stronghold. everything about that album is perfect
|
| |
except it's not LOTR-y enough
|
| |
true, idk what it is but it's majestic
btw dude have u heard the Minas Morgul demo? basically the dungeon synth version of MM and it's so good
|
| |
