Finally jammed the last song... The verdict? Basically what I expected, an amazing song but not quite as crazy as the closer on this, might still grow on me though. But dear gawd, LaPlante's screams do things to my body, I can't even... She always hits the perfect pitch somehow and it's like muh G spot mayn.

I really wish you could have seen them live, her screams were definitely on-point live. Virtually none of the audience had any idea what was going on (it's never ideal to hear music for the first time live) but they seemed to dig it when it got real heavy and dirty.
Totally forgot to check for the track on KL. Fuck I love that site. I'll try again tonight. Just got back from the dispensary. Going to light up a massive joint and pop a few edibles, drink some wine, read a bit and wait for it to kick in, and then pop this sucker on. God Bless Canada.

Oooohh wow I like this new one. Not as consistently melodic as their past favorites of mine but it has great rhythm and pacing. Like the drums in this one. And the persistence of that clean reverb drenched picking floating above it all.

not to point out the obvious, but LaPlant slays live. Everything she does on the record she pulls off perfectly live. She had one tiny flub in Mara 2 early on, I feel like she got a lil nervous and tightened up too much for a sec there. But other than that.
And fuuuuuck... Mara 3 is something else, and that live version is fucking lit. Like a demon is being conjured... I got goosebumps.
