True guys.
I thought I Give You Power was just a one off thing, but apparently it was actually an omen of much more shittiness to come.

I'm seeing them on their tour, I hope to God these songs are better live.

idk man make the most of it. I saw them on the Reflektor tour and it was an incredible show, sure glad I did a couple years before the shit hit the fan.
I'd like to think at least live they still got it, though I'd be lying if I said I've heard any good things recently.
Maybe someone else who knows more than me can chime in with some positive words for them.

I saw them on the Reflektor tour too, they were great then but they didn't have any truly bad material to play like they do now.

I watched their live show on Apple Music last night and it sucked. They sounded dead and lifeless and they fucked up No Cars Go, but never seen them in person so could’ve just been a bad night
I don’t think you’ll have to worry much about them playing this album because for something called “Everything Now Live!” they didn’t play much from this album

I listened to this on my way into work and thought "hey this is pretty fun, I don't know what everyone is bitching about" but then listened again on the way home and was bored / didn't remember most of it. No idea what to think but I'll listen a few more times this weekend just because they're AF.

Sowing most of it was just average for me, though there were a few legitimately unpleasant moments. Overall though it's not total garbage, as some have made it out to be. Probably it's a combination of people who like to hate on AF and people under rating it because it's so much weaker than their other output.

It'll probably be a 3-3.5 for me because I have a really high cheese threshold, but I have to give it a couple more listens given the disparity between my first two experiences

Alright, so this rules, and I love you all but you're all so amazingly wrong.
There are exactly three less-than-good songs on here: Chemistry and the two Infinite Content ones. Other than those, the album is bursting at the seams with melody, colour, and an urgency that the band's music has frankly been lacking for a decade now.
Plus, that one-two-three punch of Everything Now, Signs of Life and Creature Comfort is just to die for. How can you not love those songs?

Color maybe, but a lot of this feels somewhat turgid to me and melodically fairly bland in a lot of places.

Intrigued. I felt really good about the album on my morning commute (shared your enthusiasm), so hopefully that's the outlook that prevails over my commute home (spaced out/got bored).

It's hard to tell if these songs are actually that much worse than anything else they've done, or if I just haven't bonded to them emotionally the way I have to songs off Funeral or The Suburbs... But I really don't like this at all.
