maybe wil doesn't really care if Georgia gets negative attention cos it may be deserved? I don't think he's a petty dude but he's obviously raw as fuck over that relationship so maybe protecting her best interests wasn't exactly on his mind? idk

saw a Georgia Maq solo show 2 weeks back, 90% new material. Some DEFINITE tunes about Wil in there, for sure. The tunes are good as but yeah some harsh words there. One line that stood out was 'treat women like queens until they disagree' which references a line in Sigourney Weaver.

It seems like Georgia's isn't even attempting to obscure things, then, which I do think is what Wil's attempting, albeit unsuccessfully. Oh well, not interested at all in this kind of thing happening, but as long as the music is good, I suppose.

psyched for new tunes!!!

haaaaaaaaaaaa

fuck that, people shouldnt be publicly shamed for bein shitty in a relationship. there are real consequences to this shit that affect parts of ppls lives that have nothin to do with their relationships, which isnt deserved except when they done something srsly fucked that is actually publicly reprehensible (most likely something criminal).

obviously this applies to gmaq as well given that fuckin sigourney weaver line

"what has she done lol, shed some light on yer aussie drama u cunts"

Haha, unclear what she's done, other than breaking Wil's heart in what he described was an awful, two-year relationship start to finish - him referring to her as sometimes having been "cruel" (someone posted the quote on one of the previous pages). Finer details aren't known, I don't think. Because, of course, it was a private, or what should be private, relationship. In fact, I hope no other details are revealed. Oh, and of course, she's thrown some lyrical jabs at him as schoonda pointed out.

Just listen to camp cope's album CarGuitar. You could get all her early solo eps too. She has a band camp with it all up there I'm quite sure

Her With a Q EP is great, so I'd start there: http://jackknifemusic.bandcamp.com/album/georgia-maq-with-a-q-7

Otherwise just skip to her stuff with Camp Cope like schoonda said: http://campcope.bandcamp.com/album/camp-cope

Wagner meets Spektor isnt rlly true of her sound anymore; that was sorta just her first EP Friends and Bowler's Run

With a Q then Camp Cope stuff is a good way in, yea

If this album doesn't wear off me anytime soon, it'll become my favourite Smithies album. I maintain that Sunshine & Technology is their worst, even though it's great and has some amazing songs (Tom Busby, When I Said Them, Don't Mention the War).

And yeah, agreed with dim, that description only really fits Friends and Bowler's Run, and maybe With a Q a little bit. That said, it is an awesome description for her early stuff. :]
