Bring Me the Horizon have a lot of people who despise them but it's hard to deny that they've got the acclaim from critics. Narrowly missed out on a Mercury Prize nomination in 2011 I believe (The Guardian then kicked off about the way metal is ignored by the people who award these things).

That statement doesn't warrant a response. I'm sorry you like the worst of the worst deathcore. Or

whatever the fuck they call themselves.

Yeah I'm actually perplexed as to how a person could revere that band.

The latest one did better though, but as you can see it is rated higher than the others here too.

I haven't listened to BMTH so I can't really comment on how I feel about their stuff. Their next LP is supposed to have a post rock tinge to it, if I remember correctly. I am interested to see how that turns out.

Hmmm, an EP that most everyone hates (more on principal than the actual tunes).... I may check it out if I have time. If it really sucks, then I would probably hate everything if I were to try it right now.

Plenty of people have commented on the actual tunes by bringing up how bland the music is, how the vocals don't seem to work and how the band seems to be riding on a gimmick and everything doesn't seem to congeal.

Seems fair enough to me.
