This year’s album was incredible but brutally sad



You had your worries with it but the fact he released it meant you thought he probably had it under control

it shouldn't be that reframed - it didn't sound too healthy to begin with



even discounting the mental health element this was definitely someone with one eye on death and that feel that all their 'best days' were gone and we were in the final chapter

I never got the feeling with the SJ stuff he was writing with so much focus about his own life, history and mental state
