from metallicas standpoint, i guess they have nothing left to prove.....they have appealed to a couple of different audiences based on their original style and how they've evolved up until now.....for them, it looks like it's time to start sucking on someone else's titties (Gaga's) rather than having their own sucked after all of these years.....if they can find success with gaga, the lucrative roof will be blown off and business will be even better than it has been for them

those first 5 records aren't going anywhere

honestly, i think that her being a badass is more aligned with her true personality and preferences......she just happens to be one of the biggest pop stars in the world as well

yeah could be i guess. It seems to be quite the trend for pop stars to rebel against any role model type image and in doing so attract even more attention/popularity altho it seems like an affectation a lot of the time to me

The background dancers look more ridiculous than Weird Al Yankovic's version of Smells Like Teen Spirit. Metallica somehow managed to look even more ridiculous than that.

i used to enjoy Dream No More quite a bit, reminds me of So Many Lies by Testament.....but ManUNkind has grown on me to the point where i enjoy it more now

two of my fav albums are 30 mins and it just feels perfect (for that type of music anyway). short and intense. no faffing about. obviously for more prog stuff I guess length is a selling point

Length turns me off a lot of rap LPs tbh.
