I fuckin hate the album cover lol, looks like shitty old MtG card art from the 90s

This is unreal man. Tool mixed with Voivod mixed with general thrashiness.

I dig the cover art, I might actually get a shirt with that sexy lizard. Haven't bought band shirts since I was 18 which was roughly 2000 years ago.

Would be a fantastic band to see live if they had a long ass diverse set with plenty of this and infest

Does that mean these vinyl sleeves (w/o record) will be worth thousands of dollars in 20 years?

I like their Live in London album more than any of their studio stuff tbh, if it had Interior People I'd never need another KGLW
"And that’s a BAD thing komp?"
it is UNLESS they include flavor text on the physical release

"can someone who actually knows something about thrash (i.e not me) point me in the direction of an album in 2023 that does the thrash thing better than this does the thrash thing"
For something directly related to what this album is trying to do, I'd recommend:
Children - Hard Times Hanging at the End of the World
Droid - Terrestrial Mutations
DBC - Universe
The first is from 2009 and the second's from 2017. That last one's kind of overlooked, in my opinion.
If anything, part of the reason PetroDragonic Apocalypse annoys me is that that the Tool-ish break on Dragon sort of congeals into a section after that which sorta sounds like a '70s psych band's take on what DBC were doing. Other than that, most of the stupid songwriting decisions this band makes when writing metal are carried over from Infest, just on longer songs.

you call this music stupid yet recommend a band called Dead Brain Cells, curious... curious indeed. 🤔

Vorbid - A Swan by the Edge of Mandala is a pretty cool album too from last year as well. Had Chris Poland on it as a feature.

the lizard on the cover could be more expressive, like it's just there like a Sims default character in the creator screen
|
| |
lizard just took a rip from his massive bong and couldnt finish, so he's looking dumb
