For those unaware, they released a music video for Without You/Without Us and it's extremely powerful. Check it out if you haven't already :D

this album sounds nothing like Opeth except that I guess Phil kind of sounds like Mikael a little here, but that's it

Wasn't expecting Phil to have a DBZ battle with his demon in that video, but I'm here for it.

This is such a brilliant album, I wonder how they'll continue from here, when Kin ends, it just feels like they have completed their stylistic transformation, and would be hard to push the boundaries from there.

Anything they release I'm here for it though, their upwards trajectory in the past decade is nothing short of mind blowing.

Agree, and I am kinda bummed that they probably aren't moving further in this direction from what Phil has said.

But then again, I listen to "We Are One" from the valley and I'm like YES PLEASE MORE OF THIS so maybe I'll continue to dig their work regardless.

new album's supposed to go all the way back to the Defilement/Exile sound, pretty gnarly

I’ll be quite disappointed if they drop this thematic and atmospheric approach in favour of their straight up deathcore roots, but I did not see them releasing album like the Valley and Kin beforehand, so maybe they’ll give it a refreshing twist. I’m remaining optimistic!

I remember the guitarist (I inferred that he writes much of the music) on the Garza podcast saying that Phil's singing wasn't going to go away, as he was so good at it, so I still have hope. I doubt they regress, though.

crazy how good these last 2 albums from these dudes have been. im okay if they do just make a mostly straightforward metalcore joint after jumping into the prog water. hopefully they keep up some of this outthereness even on their back to basic albums.
