Mariam Wallentin‘s vocals are so good on Beyond I. This feels like such a complete album.

"An Offering to the Wild" and "Blood Upon Stone" are my favorites here. T/t is a slow grower for me.

"An Offering to the wild" is the "Lights on the hill" of this album. The band outdoing themselves, which is a feat at this point.

Soundtrack from first series of Fortitude by Ben Frost, anyone? Many soundscapes on this album, mainly Beyond I + II and the opening of An Offering to the Wild remind me a lot of it. From the singles I wasn't sure about a defining sound element that would connect ALRN and it turned out to be this haunting arctic landscape vibe. Very cool.

Offering to the Wild definitely has a Lights on the Hill vibe to it. Good comparison.
