It all works fine for me, so yeah I dunno what else to say. Sorry we can't see eye to eye on this one. It has a powerful journey that really takes time to develop and lead the audience through its winding path. Makes plenty of sense really, they never left me feeling lost or confused.

Still atm I like Aathma so astronomically more, yes it was very melodeath and that's most likely why I prefer it, but tracks such as Stillness is Timeless and Aathma (the closer) where very proggy in their own right, the peaks in that album far exceed this imo. But I'm going to keep trying with this album... Its not hitting for me as of now but I'm not counting things out just yet...

By the end of the day, some albums just aren't what people like, and that's all good. Not every record is a grower.

@Tundra I think the higher ratings believe the hype too much, album does a lot of stuff right though. Don't judge it by RYM (per usual) going off the deep end.

I should love this band so much more than I do. Stylistically it's quite in my taste.

There's something about their songwriting, it just doesn't work for me most of the time. There are so many seeds of good ideas but they blast through them at blistering speed with no real care for getting the most out of them, or how things build or transition. There are always things I end up enjoying in the songs, but as a famous dog food company employee once said, "It all seems so very arbitrary."

I called it Persefone - Metanoia: The Cuckening on RYM for that exact reason @peartnoy
