I've tried on like 3-4 different occasions and I can't sit through this whole thing in one sitting lol. Want to like it more than I do but oh well.

Yeah I slapped on a 3 as well. Album's way too long for this style of music too

Yeah, I agree with that bloc. The first like 5-10 seconds of Opaque Horizon is one of the most challenging things I've heard in a while. Kinda feels like Ross Geller added the sound effects to a core band haha.

It’s not long if you have an attention span

I don't think it's just about having an attention span. If I actively listen to music for too long in one sitting I feel like my mind is gonna explode.

This thing flew by for me on my first listen. It’s interesting, I definitely agree withe the consensus that Unloved was too long, but this is only shorter than Unloved by like 6 minutes. I think the fact that the songs on this album are shorter than the songs on Unloved really helps with the pacing

How is your mind gonna explode from listening to music? Are you trying to play all the instruments along to it? hahaha

'If I actively listen to music for too long in one sitting I feel like my mind is gonna explode.'

I mean usually no, but then with something like this I'd understand that perspective.

Nah, it just feels like an information overload. I just need to get away from it after a while, usually only if I've been listening for multiple hours. That's not something that typically comes up within the time frame of a single album, but I guess I'm just saying that I get mentally fatigued by active music listening really easily. I don't have a problem with this particular album though. It feels a bit easier to listen through the whole thing than OM or Unloved.

Depends on the music for me, doesn’t usually happen ‘generally’. As in if I’m listening to this and thinking it’s all a bit much, it just means I need to put something else on. Some things feel a lot less invasive, especially sparse/ambient-type stuff. I suppose it also depends on how actively you’re attempting to immerse yourself, sometimes I just let things drift along in the background.
