"Roads to Judah is still their best work, lads."
Roads and SBH are top tier agreed

George said in an interview that Infinite Granite is their Kid A, but I would only agree with that comparison if this came directly after Sunbather. To me, it should have; NB and OCHL are unnecessary ventures when Sunbather is the peak of their blackgaze sound.

This is even better than I expected even though Daniel kills it on drums and I knew he would!

This is definitely sweet. I'm fine with them changing styles. Over time, I may prefer this CD over their others.

Bookends of Sunbather are in fact their peaks, but mostly everything else rules to a slightly lesser extent.
OCHL had more duds for me than any of their albums

The ending of the album was a great choice for the band. What a fun epic ending.

This album is incredible. I was highly skeptical of the inversion of the band's formula, but they pull it off here in my opinion. There's still plenty of tension and "heavy" moments throughout the album to satisfy me. Ending with "Mombasa" doesn't hurt things either.
