They are actually really well known.

Vocals can def be more emotional than instruments even if you can't understand what they're saying.

Good example of that is Jacob Bannon from Converge.

Or any time you listen to languages you can't understand but the vox are great.

Sigur Ros, Cocteau Twins, Joliette, Vi Som Alaskade etc.
Yes.
...but yeah there are plenty of vocalists I can't decipher where the primary language is (apparently) English, so there's that also.

I appreciate a lot of moments on here but it's so scattershot and the slower moments are pretty lame. Just missed the mark on execution methinks

Define lame?

hum debut is more solid soundwise. Maybe you should try it. It's more only the heavy parts me thinks.
I like what they've done here, balancing things with the slower moments. I don't think they're lame at all, and I think the idea is to keep them visceral and raw, despite slowing it down. If they were too polished is what would be lame imo.
I can totally get why it doesn't work for you tho

the slower moments just kind of happen without building to anything before going to another one or switching right back to the hardcore parts. no depth imo

If these guys ever find a way to weave their atmospheric sections more seamlessly into the rest they may be capable of creating an aoty contender. I’m happy with this brutal fucking gym jam though. Rager of the year nominee (alongside black sheep wall, yautja, seputus, and balttw).

I've never had a reason to say it out loud but in my brain I hear...Err-Div?? Perhaps it is never meant to be spoken aloud, like some Cthulu god's name.

LMAO true, we must all be really boring ppl. We (sputs) have so much inside, and nothing leaves out. Perhaps bros who manage to make revs release themselves somehow.

Finally hearing this and it absolutely rips

I've been revisiting this lately, and it still holds as one of my best finds of the year.
There's something about this band. A kind of coolness only very few bands are able to manage.
