An interesting exercise is to compare the debut's vocals with this one and try to figure out which ones are better
in the first one he sounds like early Friden, but I still think any album's vocals are better than on this. he lost all semblance of bite and edge here

Starting to get stale , as much as I loved the Slaughter of the Soul and Terminal, the last 3 have been very similar and here the voice is kinda eh, can't get into it as much as the last one.

This is a weird one for me. I actually like a lot of the little things that they did with a ton of the tracks on here. It definitely feels more interesting than their past few releases, but at the same time it somehow ends up coming together as something almost entirely unenjoyable. I can't put my finger on exactly what it is, but this album just doesn't work for me.
Special shoutout for Cosmic Pessimism for being groovy af though, such a neat track by them

Not sure about their comeback personally, To Drink From the Night Itself was pretty decent but nowhere near SOTS or TSD, and don't really think it warranted a comeback. I think they are just doing their thing from the interviews I watched with Tomas, trying not to give much of a concern of what people want, and just writing the music they want ATG to be in 202X which is their prerogative, but.. eh
