theyre great live but ive never heard of them doing well as an opener or at a fest

Especially if you're seeing them live and you've never heard them before. J has said himself a few times that the band's live show probably won't win you over if you're not already a fan.

I've heard their shows are excellent if you're really into gear and rigs and stuff or if you just want to hear their songs played really well in person, and a bit shit if you're wanting more of an actual performance

Yeah, I actually think I'm someone who prefers the reunion stuff over the early stuff. I like J's deeper vocals, I think Lou's songs add a nice diverse element, the guitar tones are thicc, but I really do like it all.
