I took it as my mom in her deathbed in the end of her days, struggling to stay awake, wishing she could stay here like forever and see her granchilds growing and thriving...

deep stuff

I feel like the pitfall of most atmoblack metal is that it ends up feeling homogenous, but this just...doesn't. The leads and sense of melody in the riffs really elevate this.

Just checked Aara cause of the mentions in this thread. Pretty great stuff.

This is growing off me a little. All the tracks kind of blend together. Like I could take any one section from any track and switch it around with other sections from other tracks and it wouldn't matter.

Also, the opener being my favorite song is always an issue, makes it harder for me to want to listen all the way through.

Closer is really good too. And there's a few other really great parts but most of the middle tracks are easy to skip.

It's still extremely well executed, and it feels like there's more passion behind this one than the last two.

Quarter ratings would be nice. This is like a 3.75 for me. Whereas Lucidity is a hard 4.

Maaaan I'm almost starting to write shitty revs just to get those. 3.8 for me. I also enhance those ending sections like on track 2 just vary and go a little hard. Well pulled.

Ha, I was just thinking exactly this.

If you take 4, I'll do 3.5.

Anyway, this is getting too much attention, wheras Blinfolded and led to Woods is getting none. And I tell, it should have some. There's even an interview by Nocte worthwhile.

It's interesting because the songs all feel like they have their own identity but the production is so bland that it all bleeds together and ends up feeling like one long song. Drum production is really uninteresting, is that a drum machine? It's either a machine or an electronic kit or something. Guitar work is the standout here and there are some killer solos and melodies but it doesn't really leave a lasting impact on me.
