Thinking...

I Remember > Wave After Wave >> Three Bridges > What I Leave Behind

(won’t bother ranking Inside of a Dream, but I do enjoy it in the context of the release - just seems odd comparing a glorified interlude to much longer cuts with such stark stylistic differences).

I love the climax of Wave after Wave and wish it was longer, but the first have of the song doesn‘t really do that much for me rn.

Fun fact Norm, there are no other moments like that on other CoL albums, from what I recall! It is a discog anomaly!

Jam Ghost Trail the ending will make you shit your britches

Only CoL song I don't much care for is Approaching Transition, but that's not really a style issue, just like their one song that doesn't do enough to justify being as long as it is

Anyway jamming Ghost Trail again it's the still the best thing to ever be

CoL stated that they had mark lanegan's voice in mind when writing 'and with her came the birds' on SATH, and wished he could have done the vocals for it. that probably the closest anything in the rest of their discog gets to inside of a dream.

Isn't Approaching Transition just like an intro to Cygnus, I don't know, I love how it prepares you for the grand finale. Album's a round 5.

Yeah, I think if they’d set it up as 5-6 minute thing a la Chapel Town it would do its thing like gangbusters but 13 minutes is pushing it. Especially following S.S. Needle, which, like, perfect song, but that’s already pretty spacey a lot of its runtime

yeah you really don't need a 12 minute build up song for your 14 minute finale. chevron is also kinda forgettable

It... sounds exactly like a Cult of Luna record. Liking the old guy interlude.
