Yeah Sonder was Sweet, so far this album doesn't really hit all the tones except Tempest and Oceanrise

Man, this whole thing is such a jam. Consistent.

Definetly. I can see how this isn't as catchy as In Contact though. The Ascent is such a banger though. Not an immediate record I'd say

I wasn't digging it the first few listens because I thought the pacing was off. But yeah this is consistent af all the way through, just gotta give it a few proper listens.

Yeah we'll see how it ages, so far I can't really give it more than 3.5 which while pretty good is nothing extraordinary

This really clicked for me today. Hot damn. I love that it feels tighter and more focused than In Contact.

I absolutely love this album from start to finish. There isn't a bad moment to be found. They are the most distinctive Australian prog band around currently, and every album has built and improved upon its predecessor in some way. And damn this band is making a habit of creating epic closing tracks - first Graves, now The Ascent. Unreal songs.

Karnivool. Maybe a close second, though.

You reckon? From a distance, I could probably confuse NeO for a few different bands.

They are great tho

I’m surprised that the review didn’t mention Valkyrie or Autumn, which I consider two of the highlights of the album. From my perspective, there are no “weak” tracks on the album.

Oceanrise is another big tune. This is still growing on me lol. I don't think my 4.5 will become a 4.0 any time soon.

Oceanrise is easily the best song if you ask me.

Actually, thinking of bumping this to 4

The Ascent is one of my favorites here.

The Tempest, Oceanrise and Valkyrie are the hits though
