Are the vocals still absolutely smothered in delays on this record?

"Mori with all that you've written so far you could have done your own counter review ;)"

There is a reason you're a contributing reviewer and I'm not though ;)

Nah I totally bribed them.

But seriously, dude, your writing is pretty good and different perspectives are always welcome. No one holds the ultimate truth about smth being good or bad, no matter the tag.

@Dewinged I appreciate the compliment, but I'd imagine I'll better leave it to the pros.

I listened (not extensively) to Causa Sui, very good last album, but more measured, mechanical almost, and no vocals. Colour Haze is also pretty good musically, but the vocals seem a bit weak, and they lack the magic touch, swag and punk energy of Slift. Slift have gigantic balls and they sure swing 'em freely!

@Artax Hey, luckily taste is entirely subjective. I find those band's to be more musically mature, certainly Causa Sui druring their Summer Sessions time and Colour Haze around the time they released their eponymous recrod. Granted, they've also released some duds, which this Slift record easily beats.

I listened to this the other day and as a massive CS/CH fan I don't think the bands are that comparable.

Slift are certainly more going for fuzzy rocker 'songs' here over meandering Krautrock jams
