First time actively listening to Mac. Only knew some single tracks of his beginning which were ok at best but it seems he really developed in thr right direction musically and lyrically. Sad to see such a talented artist go this young.

Had to bump this to a 4. This is excellent. I usually don't pay attention to hip hop but this feels like it's at another level.

Interesting album. Not too familiar with Mac Miller's music, and decidedly not well versed in hip hop. Nevertheless, I found this to be a delightful listen and will probably return to it, which was not my expectation at the outset. In a word, Circles is "chill" and could ideally be prescribed for a variety of quiet activities: smoking, drinking, studying, thinking. Hope he's found peace where he is.

This really is a expertly produced album, but listening to it still leaves me with 2 questions that could compromise the artistic integrity of the album.

1) Were these specific vocal takes really intended by Mac Miller to be released to the public, & 2) is the pop-centric vibe of the album really the direction that Mac Miller had intended to take these songs? Can’t tell you the answer.

Never listened to a Mac Miller album before I checked this out and while most of it is cool, I find "Woods" and "Hand Me Downs" to be the most impactful.

Wonderfully written review btw

Very unique in it's own quiet way. It sounds like coming to terms with life's movements, there's a sense of belonging even within life's more bitter tastes. Just lovely, refreshing album

Just lovely,refreshing album (2)

Didnt think much of this initially but after revisiting recently Ive realized this is great. "Woods" has been on repeat all morning. Damn shame the Eminem surprise LP drop overshadowed this, it's miles ahead of Music to be Murdered by
