mike hranica just needs to learn how to sing or quit the band and start a spoken word/post-rock group or whatever like it seems he wants. if he did it would probably be good but tdwp has song serious songwriting potential that theyre ditching to do thisstuff that is juuust experimental enough to not make me wanna relisten to a lot of these tracks even when the formula is really intriguing.

Nah. It's an acquired taste. I love his vocals, so I would not be happy if he left the band. It seems to be somewhat of a stylistic choice as well, because he pumps out some pretty solid vocal sections in The Thread.

If this one had more of the heavier songs like that then I don't think there would be as many complaints about the vocals. It sounds like people just don't like the yell/scream/spoken word type vocals on most of the tracks here.

i think they need to keep heavier stuff to stay good. but see, baao just did a similar style on their 'waiting' album that streamlined cleans and harshes better cuz it was a bit less experimental. i prefer that method.

The album art is cool, but the vocals are just... plain bad. I enjoyed "The Thread" but so far the rest of the album doesn't do it for me.

Jay it sounds like me, you and Dream might be the only ones who love this thing haha. Weird being on the other side.

I have listened through this album 5 times now and can't figure out if I like it or not. I love Chemical, Lines, Wave of Youth, The thread ... completely unsure about how I feel for the rest of it

I cant tell if 3.5 is way too high or too low

Yes, bring on Norma Jean! Their singles are better than anything on this album.

October was the perfect time to release this album. Good choice by them, it definitely fits the gloomy fall weather.

I love most of their albums but I think Dead Throne is so solid.
