Get's better and better through each listen, stick with it and it will grow. I am shocked the amount of people that listen to an album twice and then form an opinion, minimum 10 listens of any album is needed personally to judge it. "Undertow", "Gatekeeper", "My Own Grave" and "Only When We've Fallen" are instant AILD classics.

Lmao this is a mid 2000s style metalcore album. Theres no "growing", there are no layers to unpack. Its all pretty immediate.

You need only get through half of this to understand this album is basically ripped out of 2009.

How many times do you listen to an album before you judge it? It sounds like you have no attention span, I'm surprised you can make it past a 3 minute song without skipping track.

I have no problem listening to long albums (see my score of The Seer) but that doesn't mean I'm willing to waste hours upon hours listening to the same crap just so I can give it a score. And to answer the question once if it's uninteresting or straight up bad, otherwise depends on how much I like the album

So Mr. mjstokes85, you're telling me that you listened to the only album you have rated as a 1 (Linkin Park's A Thousand Suns) 10 times?

Not every album needs to be treated like a Tool album that people insist needs 12 listens and a 2000 word essay to fully judge. You listen to the album and then you say decide if you liked it or not.

The strange thing about this record is how formulaic it sounds. If you compare this to The Powerless Rise, this is streamlined to a fault. It sounds like they felt they needed to produce a hit factory for their return to the scene. I think they succeed for the most part, but I would certainly appreciate hearing more variation on their next release.
