My political opinions were roughly that of my Democrat friends, teachers, neighbors, local politicians, etc. until midway through high school when I started the shift.
Then in Senior year everyone in our AP government course took a political test and mine spit back right anarchist and the rest is history.

So I'd say I didn't really think about politics until I was 17-18.

I think that's healthy, actually. In high school before you can even vote you should be more concerned with academics, girls (boys in your case), sports, etc.

That's the only time I can remember doing that re: a tv show in recent memory.
It's mostly cause the dynamic young five are so fucking believable in their roles.
Seriously, Casey, Sam, Evan, Paige, and Zahid are all perfectly cast.

i mean most adults also just ape the political views of friends / family / media figures / people with whom they resonate / etc. Kids regurgitating political ideologies seems no different to me than what most inane fuckin adults in the US do.
