@noler/con, yeah the song itself doesn't really paint a clear picture of heroin addiction but that's the vibe I got from the interview - or at least some kind of addiction. I think a lot is left up to interpretation as well which I can appreciate

for sure for sure man, again context is really helpful in this case. without the interview tho you can definitely get the sense of loss that an addiction could cause

context is important but I think it's important not to weight the 'extra context' the band gives in further interviews as important as the actual content of an album. If it's not part of the original artistic vision its not as important to me.

the vibe I get from the song is just some nasty depraved living space, it's kind of vague as to how the living space got to be in that disgusting condition

and then he explains through the interview how it did! so yes helpful in this case

I'd argue that if it's mentioned in an interview than it is part of the artist's vision :P

anyways, "See You at Your Funeral" is a new favorite of mine atm. that song is a blast, best heard with the volume turned way up

He’s just not angsty enough for this to be a four. Where are the “I wanna gouge our ur eyes with a power drill”-tier lines??

he's less angsty and more cynical which I think is fine, theyve almost gotten too good at writing pop punk songs now tho imo

it felt pretty bad to listen to this for the first time while walking down queen street in a collared shirt and realizing that i'm one of the shitheads he's talking about

This didn't do anything for me. I mean it's okay. But after two complete spins I just feel meh about every song.

This band suffers the same problem as Car seat headrest.

The music is cool, the vocalists just suck.

Haven’t wanted to revisit this since my first listen. I’ll give it another chance soon.
