and the vocal effects are really unnecessary. The guy has a great voice already. i guess thats why im preferring ixora much more.

I mean the vocal effects are just kinda of scattered throughout, his awesome voice still holds up super well on its own throughout most of the record

Yeah just bought the physical copy and it says tooth & nail when you open it up. It also clears up the obscured face on the right and one of the back pages is an abstract of them having sex. All lyrics included in the booklet which I'm thrilled about.

Surprised tooth & nail would let something like that fly

I mean it's all blurred out you can't see anything

It's one of those very artsy/tasteful images

I think the entire packaging is beautiful

Albums released on tooth & nail and solid state usually have pretty cool packaging

This album sounds a bit like Foreign Fields with inferior vocals and 'too much going on' maximalist instrumentals.

There's something there though.

Nice, usually an automatic 5 for me equates to...(checks conversation chart)...a Doof 2. Count me as pleasantly surprised.

Sowing - I listened to this twice today so i know there’s no way I’d do that if there wasn’t at least a bit of intrigue for me, dare I say could potentially end up a 3.5

I'm getting super YAMS/ESR vibes with this record, on my second listen and this is much more engaging than Ixora. Great review, glad to see this getting loved.

I wasn't sure whether to check this album, but all these high ratings made me pull the trigger. About halfway through right now and I'm quite enjoying it. Really a nice dreamy, electronic feel, which apparently is a style/sound I love now. 2019 is the year of vocal effects working for me apparently.

Very excited to spin this! I haven't listened to these guys as heavily since YAMS (so basically a decade).
