This is the only album I've heard from them so far, but dig their sound. It's enjoyable atmospheric/post/black metal done slightly better than a lot of their peers, but really nothing too remarkable. Would you recommend I check out anything else by them?

I haven't listened to their full discog as much as some others here, but right now my other two favorites are Atrophy and Epos. The run from "Ephemerol" through "Petrichor" on Atrophy is something else

Which artists/albums are considered the pinnacle of the whole atmo-post/black thing then? This isn’t a trick, genuine question if anyone cares to provide me with a brief answer.

Damn I guess there's a lot you could lump in that category, but if I had to single it out to 1 rec, it would be The Great Old Ones hands down (aside from wiitr)

Wolves In the Throne Room's first two for sure. Weakling. Everything by Altar of Plagues except for their last one (not that it isnt good, i just dont think it fits into that category). Ash Borer. Panopticon.

I would recommend you Drudkh and Windir too, Demon, if we are talking about withering beauty.

Checking this now, not too sold on the vox but the rest is pretty good so far.

Demon you need to jam Weakling, Ash Borer, An Autumn for Crippled Children and Woe too along with the others mentioned.

Also Alcest invented the whole blackgaze movement, don’t know if you’ve heard them yet but they’re essential. Ecailles and Kodama in particular.

Apart from Dewi's recs and WITTR I've heard zero material from any of these bands (I just know the names)... time to stop being an utter failure I guess. Thanks guys.

Blackgaze scares me, I’ll give it a go of course but I’m yet to hear anything that could be described as such, even Sunbather.

Wow. Jam Ecailles de Lune immediately, if not just the first two tracks. The second half of the album trails off massively, but the title track (both parts) is one of the greatest songs of all time. I couldn't think of a better introduction
