the review really resonated with me because I live half the year in an area of China with a lot of neon signs and light pollution - it really stirred a vivid image of rainy nights listening to deep house laying in bed

Same here man, I've lived in Japan for 10 years and neon rainy nights are now a good part of my memories. Wouldn't change them for anything and this album is perfect in that sense.
