This is a 5. I've never listened to an instrumental album that emotionally gripped me as much as this. Generally when I listen to instrumental albums, I think at most 'Wow, this is really neat!'. This shit just made my jaw drop to the fucking floor.

Literally every track was amazing. The only time this album had a downpoint was during 'Glitch in the You I Thought I knew'. But that still was far from a mediocre track. What's more impressive about this album is how the band was able to explore new musical territory through almost every track while remaining grounded to the foundation that made this album so great.

This honestly might be the best instrumental metal album I've listened to. Liquid Tension might have better musical composition, but just off of pure enjoyment this wins. Please suggest me other albums if you think there's anything better than this.

I regret listening to their ep with 3 songs from this. Those 3 had a bit of diminished effect on me because I played them to death.

Not a bad idea. That bouncy part near the end will be a ton of fun. And everything else will fucking suck.

From the looks of it Aric has a crazy live set-up that includes hand-triggered electronics, idk how he manages that and the insane drumming all at once

I see him caption a lot of stuff with "ADD drumming". Guess that's his secret

The massive distortion on Vice Wave just makes me smile every time. Such an irresponsibly ridiculous mixing decision in the best way.

Also No.0 will never get old.

There's also a part on Phoenix IV where the feedback goes over the top, I was a little surprised they left that in
